Celebrate a century of the Mother Road at the 2026 Texas Route 66 Festival, a 10-day, region-wide celebration stretching across the Texas Panhandle. As the state’s only official Route 66 festival, this milestone edition brings together dozens of events across multiple towns, highlighting the history, personality, and unmistakable Texas spirit found along the 178-mile stretch of Route 66.
Throughout the festival, visitors can experience classic car shows, outdoor concerts, art walks, rodeos, pop-up markets, film screenings, guided tours, family activities, and vintage Americana at some of Texas’ most iconic roadside stops. Each community along the highway offers something unique—from cowboy culture and small-town charm to bold flavors, big personalities, and deep Route 66 pride.
The celebration culminates on Saturday, June 13, with a massive grand finale in Amarillo’s Historic Route 66 District on 6th Avenue. Hundreds of classic cars will line the street as live music, vendors, local food, kids’ activities, and Western flair take over one of the most legendary stretches of Route 66 in the state. It’s a full day of Texas-sized energy and Route 66 nostalgia that marks the official capstone of the centennial festivities.
Designed as a true tribute to the people, places, and stories that keep Route 66 alive, the Texas Route 66 Festival embraces the road’s authentic past and vibrant future. Whether road-tripping through the Panhandle or joining for the finale in Amarillo, this 10-day celebration offers an unforgettable way to experience the Mother Road’s 100th birthday.
