Route 66 Fun Run

Get ready for another unforgettable weekend on the Mother Road! The 2026 Historic Route 66 Fun Run—the oldest Route 66 celebration in the United States—returns with classic cars, community festivities, and a 140-mile caravan of pure Arizona Route 66 spirit. More than 800 vehicles and thousands of participants from around the world will gather in Seligman to kick off a three-day adventure, with events planned in nearly every community along the route.

The Fun Run begins Saturday morning as cars line Historic Route 66 in Seligman before Angel Delgadillo waves off the parade, honoring the origins of this iconic event. Participants then make their way to Kingman for the popular Show N Shine Car Show, followed by a full lineup of activities, vendors, and photo-worthy classics throughout town. On Sunday, the route continues through Oatman—where wild burros greet travelers—before concluding in Topock/Golden Shores with a celebratory BBQ, car show, music, drinks, raffles, and the official finish-line patch pickup.

Born from a 1988 dedication event organized by the Historic Route 66 Association of Arizona, the Fun Run has grown into a beloved annual tradition and a key fundraiser supporting the preservation and promotion of the Mother Road. Today, it captures everything Route 66 represents: community, nostalgia, Americana, and the joy of the open road.

Route 66 Fun Run Event Snapshot for 2026

Friday, May 1 – Seligman

• Noon–5 p.m.: Registration & packet pickup at St. Francis Catholic Church

Saturday, May 2 – Seligman → Kingman

• Early morning: Cars begin lining up on Route 66
• 9:30 a.m.: Official Fun Run start with Angel Delgadillo waving off the procession
• Kingman activities include:
  • 8 a.m.–2 p.m.: Registration at Rickety Cricket Brewing
  • 9 a.m.–4 p.m.: Show N Shine Car Show (judging cutoff at 2 p.m.)

Sunday, May 3 – Kingman → Oatman → Topock

• 8 a.m.: Breakfast at Locomotive Park, Kingman
• 9–10 a.m.: Awards presentation
• 10 a.m.: Final parade toward Oatman and Topock
• Oatman: Explore town and meet the wild burros
• Topock/Golden Shores (11 a.m.–4 p.m.): Finish-line patch pickup, BBQ, drinks, music, raffles & more
