Celebrate two historic milestones—100 years of Route 66 and 250 years of the United States—at the Route 66 Centennial Traveling Pop-Up Exhibit. This special installation highlights the rich legacy of the Mother Road and the generations of travelers who have shaped its story.
Presented in Springfield at the Gillioz Theatre Gallery, the exhibit features photographs, stories, and interpretive displays drawn from archives, museums, and Route 66 partners across the state. Visitors can explore how America’s Main Street connected communities, inspired road trips, and became a global symbol of freedom and adventure.
Sponsored by the Missouri Route 66 Centennial Commission, the traveling exhibit will also visit Jefferson City, Lebanon, Cuba, Pacific, and Red Oak II throughout the Centennial year—bringing Route 66 history directly to the communities that helped define it.
