Get ready to hit the open road and experience the magic of Route 66 in the Land of Enchantment! The 2025 New Mexico Route 66 Association Motor Tour is bringing a fresh new route with shorter driving distances, giving participants more time to explore, take in the sights, and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow travelers. This year’s tour, scheduled for May 8-10, 2025, will begin in Gallup, with stops in Grants and Albuquerque, showcasing some of the best that New Mexico’s stretch of Route 66 has to offer. Whether you’re driving a classic car, a contemporary vehicle, a travel trailer, or a motorcycle, all are welcome to join in on the adventure.
The tour kicks off with a goodie bag filled with fun surprises and essential tour information. Saturday will feature the Ceremonial Raffle Prizes and Awards at Glorieta Station, wrapping up the tour with a celebration of the journey. That evening, participants will gather for a final dinner at the 66 Diner in Albuquerque, also home to the New Mexico Route 66 Association headquarters.
Lodging is available in each city along the route. The host hotel in Gallup is Comfort Suites, conveniently located along Route 66. In Grants, participants can choose from the historic Southwest Motel, the Sure Stay Hotel by Best Western, or the Best Western Grants Inn. The final night in Albuquerque will be spent at the colorful and vibrant Hotel ZAZZ, offering a special rate for Motor Tour participants.
