Celebrate 100 years of the Mother Road with the Jericho Gap Centennial Fun Run, a 5K/10K race held on one of the most storied stretches of historic Route 66. Once notorious for trapping early motorists in thick Panhandle mud, the Jericho Gap now invites runners to experience its wide-open plains, rich history, and rugged Route 66 spirit.
This family-friendly event features music, local flavor, community fun, and a unique chance to run through a legendary ghost town landscape. Participants receive race swag, shirts, medals, and chipped timing as they take on a course starting and ending at the Jericho Cemetery sign. Lace up and “Run the Gap” in honor of the Mother Road’s Centennial.
