After the National Route 66 Centennial Kickoff Celebration Parade, keep the celebration going on Historic C-Street with an evening of cars, music, and a sky full of lights.

The highlight of the night is the official lighting of the Jefferson Avenue Footbridge. As the sun sets, organizers will flip the switch on a choreographed music and light show illuminating the historic bridge, followed by a drone show that will light up the night sky over Springfield.

Schedule of Events:

All Evening: Live music, local food, history displays, and entertainment along C-Street

7–9 p.m.: Classic Car Rally, including vehicles from The Great Race Spring Rally

8:00 p.m.: Footbridge Lighting Ceremony & Drone Show

With classic cars lining the street and the bridge glowing overhead, this free community event blends Route 66 history with modern spectacle—an unforgettable way to celebrate 100 years of the Mother Road.
