The Gemini Giant is coming back to Wilmington, Illinois, and it’s time to party Route 66 style! This November, gather for a celebration as the beloved muffler man returns to a new spot along the Mother Road.

The freshly refurbished fiberglass giant will stand tall once again, this time at South Island Park, on a Route 66 shield-themed concrete base. The park’s getting a full Route 66 makeover, complete with a new walking path, digital signs, native landscaping, and plenty of parking for road trippers.

Join the fun on November 30 at the Gemini Giant Homecoming for live tunes from The Route 66 Band, eats from the Route 66 Mobile Diner, and memorabilia from The First Hundred Miles and Heritage Corridor Destinations. The ribbon-cutting is at 2:00 p.m., so mark your map and don’t miss it!
