American Giants Museum Grand Opening

Come to Atlanta, Illinois on Memorial Day weekend for the American Giants Museum Grand Opening. The museum celebrates the fiberglass giants of Route 66 and beyond with memorabilia, history, and the largest concentration of Muffler Man statues anywhere along Route 66 from Chicago to Santa Monica. The grand opening celebration will feature special guests, food vendors, a ribbon cutting ceremony, and more.

 

Friday, May 24, 2024

On Friday come to watch two new Route 66 giants (a Texaco Big Friend and a Viking Carpet Giant) being installed in front of the museum. Visitors can watch from across the street in Xenia Park. The museum will be open between 10:00am – 4:00pm.

 

Saturday, May 25, 2024

The museum will be open from 10:00am – 1:100pm.

 

Sunday, May 26, 2024

Sunday will be the official grand opening of the American Giants Museum in Atlanta, Illinois. The museum will be open from 10:00am – 4:00pm. From noon – 3pm enjoy lunch from one of the food trucks at Xenia Park and the Land of the Giants Rest Stop. At 12:30pm hear remarks from Joel Baker (founder of American Giants and the American Giants Museum) as he takes questions about his efforts. At 2:00pm will be the ribbon cutting ceremony.
