TexasRoadside Attraction

Welcome to Shamrock, Texas! A small town on Route 66 with big ties to Ireland! While you’re in town visiting the Conoco Tower Station and U-Drop Inn Café and staying at the Shamrock Country Inn, do an Irish jig on over to Blarney Stone Plaza to take some photos with this Welcome to Shamrock sign, where the luck of the Irish is waiting for your selfie.

The Welcome to Shamrock sign originally greeted visitors when they were driving into town. It can now be found in Blarney Stone Plaza on North Main Street. The green welcome sign is decorated with lucky shamrocks and a little leprechaun.

In the same plaza, you can also find the Texas Blarney Stone, encased in a concrete pillar that has been painted Irish green and decorated with a painting of the Cork castle as well as a plaque dedicated to the town’s St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations.
