OklahomaRoadside Attraction

Stop by the Brady Arts District in Tulsa, Oklahoma to see this public work of art: the Tulsa Postcard Mural.

The Tulsa Postcard Mural was created in 2015 by artist Billy Brakhage, who also created the Greetings from Austin postcard mural in Austin, Texas. Designed in the style of a vintage postcard, the Tulsa mural spells out the city’s name in bold letters filled with images of important local landmarks and icons.

Designs depict the Appeal to the Spirit statue, a former motel (Mayo Motor Inn), the BOK tower, the Tulsa Drillers stadium, and the Center of the Universe.   Also find Atlas with four stars in the A, representing the four solar eclipse patterns that will occur until 2045 and the Philbrook Museum of Art, which extends below the U.
