The Campbell Hotel

Originally opened as the Casa Loma Hotel in 1927, the property is housed in the Max Campbell Building. During its early years, the hotel was ideally positioned on a trolley line, providing easy access between Route 66 and downtown Tulsa. The building showcases the 1920s Spanish Colonial Revival style, featuring light brown brick, a tiled roof, terra-cotta ornamentation, and distinctive parapets.

Over time, the hotel fell into disrepair, and by 2009, it was in dire need of restoration. With a missing roof leading to water damage and a crumbling structure, the future looked bleak. However, a comprehensive redevelopment began in 2009, leading to the hotel’s grand reopening during Tulsa’s 2011 Designer Showcase. Over forty local designers contributed their unique styles to transform the rooms, and by August 2011, the Campbell Hotel welcomed guests once more. Today, it proudly stands on the National Register of Historic Places.

Themes include the University of Tulsa, Wiemann Metalcraft, Route 66, mid-century modern, 1920s Art Deco, Bama Pies, and the Renaissance.
