TexasRoadside Attraction

Shamrock, Texas is known for its Irish roots and its location on Route 66. The Shamrock Mural in town celebrates all the best the town has to offer.

The large Shamrock mural was created by artist Joey Martinez and supported by the Shamrock Chamber of Commerce in 2019. The artwork features a large script font that spells out Shamrock with a shamrock itself representing the “o.” Inside the letters are painted scenes representing some of the most famous landmarks around town. Represented are the Conoco Tower Station and U-Drop Inn Café, a Route 66 shield, Magnolia Station, the cattle industry, the Texas Theater, and the Water Tower.
