The Sapulpa Route 66 Mural in downtown Sapulpa, Oklahoma pays homage to the town’s place on Route 66 and at the crossroads of America.

The giant work of art was created by Scott Taylor and his team at Colorpop Art Lab in Tulsa. It was a “a gift to the city” in January 2021 from Joni Rogers-Kante and The Kante Group, CCR Construction, and the Mathesons, who own the building the mural is painted on.

The colorful mural spans 1300 square feet and depicts many of the significant sites found in this town.

Depicted in the mural you’ll find sites such as the “Guardian of the Plains” Buffalo, Harvey House, Burnett Mansion, Rock Creek Bridge, the TeePee Drive-In, Frankoma Pottery, the Sapulpa Interurban Trolley and the World’s Tallest Gas Pump.
