As the oldest continually-operated restaurant in town, Ike’s Chili has been serving the best chili in Tulsa, Oklahoma, since 1908—before Route 66 was even born.

In 1908, Ike Johnson and his nephew Ivan Johnson bought the Robert Morris Restaurant at 2nd Street and Boston to open the original Ike’s Chili Parlor. Though the restaurant changed locations multiple times through the years (moving to their current Pearl District space right on Historic Route 66 in 2014), they never stopped serving their famous chili. The recipe has now been passed down through four generations, attracting loyal customers and Route 66 travelers eager to take an authentic piece of Oklahoma. Even Will Rogers was a huge fan.

Ike’s specializes in classic old-fashioned Oklahoma chili. Order a bowl of straight chili with tender meat stewed in a thick base (don’t forget to order some onion, cheese, or jalapeno on the side) or order it with beans or on top of a hamburger, taco salad, cheese fries, or burrito. Ike’s also proudly proclaims to be “the best place to have a three-way in the USA.” One of the most popular menu items is their Three-Way with spaghetti, beans, and chili.
