El Cafecito in Grants, New Mexico has been serving authentic New Mexican cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for more than two decades.

Owned by Larry and Angela Baca for more than twenty years, the restaurant became so popular that they had to move from their original location to a bigger space in 2011. If you’ve worked up an appetite exploring the nearby Ice Cave and Bandera Volcano or El Malpais National Monument, this is the place to stop for a meal in Grants.

While you can’t go wrong ordering anything off the menu, El Cafecito is especially known for their green chile, which you can enjoy smothered over popular dishes like huevos rancheros, breakfast burritos, chicken enchiladas, chile rellenos, and chimichangas. Don’t forget to enjoy a pillowy sopaipilla or the side!
