You’ll find the marker at the tiny community of Continental Divide, New Mexico, just off Interstate 40 at Exit 47. The historic signs are along Old Highway NM 122/Route 66 frontage road, across from trading posts and gift shops by the highway.

Yes, around the exit you’ll find trading posts, souvenir shops, and the Continental Divide Indian Market, as well as another historic marker or unofficial signs marking the divide.
