Before taking off on your Route 66 adventure, explore one of Chicago’s most famous commodities: pizza. A Chicago Pizza Tour will take you around the neighborhoods to taste some of the best pies the city has to offer.

This bus-guided tour will take you to neighborhood favorites to sample all the best pizza in Chicago. Try the famed deep dish and thin crust at Pizano’s Pizza and Pasta downtown (located just a short walk from the Historic Route 66 Begin Sign), taste tavern-style pizza with a Polish twist at Flo & Santo’s, experience the famous carmelized crust on Pequod’s Pizza’s deep dish, dig into some Neapolitan-American fusion at Coalfire Pizza, or eat New Have style pie at Piece Pizza. (Pizza tour stops may vary.)

Along the way you’ll learn about neighborhood history and ingredient selection and find out why pizza is so important to Chicago culture. Your tour will take you to four different pizzerias around the city before dropping you off back downtown, properly stuffed with pizza and ready to continue your journey.
